Levoit’s most popular air purifier, the Core 300, has received two different variants over the past few years.
In this comparison, I will compare the Core P350, a variant recommended for pet owners, and the Levoit Core 300S, a version equipped with plenty of smart features.
What’s characteristic of all these Levoit models is their identical design, filter, and CADR value.
However, there are some differences between the Levoit Core 300S and Core P350 models, and in this comparison, I will provide a detailed comparison of all specifications and test results to determine which of the two models is the better choice for purchase.
Our Verdict
At first glance, the Levoit Core 300S and Core P350 look like almost identical devices. However, if you dive a bit deeper into the analysis, you’ll see that they do have some obvious differences.
The Levoit Core 300S stands out because it has a much better-optimized motor, a variety of smart options, and an air quality sensor. On top of all this, it performed better in performance tests than the Core P350 model.
Personally, I would always choose the Core 300S over the Core P350, mainly because it is far superior. Additionally, the filter from the Core P350 model is compatible with the Core 300S model.

Performance Test – Comparison
The identical specifications make this comparison both interesting and challenging, as the differences in test results are almost minimal.
Both of these Levoit models have a CADR of 141 CFM (240 m³/h) and cover rooms up to 219 sq. ft. (20 m²), meaning they will clean the air in a room of these dimensions 4.8 times in one hour.
According to their recommended room sizes, we tested these two air purifiers in a 194 sq. ft. (18 m²) room. The test result was nearly identical: the Core 300S improved air quality by about 94%, while the Core P350 improved it by about 93%.
Particle Removal Tests - Comparison
We placed the Levoit Core 300S Vs Core P350 in two separate tests and measured their performance using the Temtop laser particle meter.
Both devices operated at maximum speed for 60 minutes. We measured air quality using a Temtop laser particle meter.
We can conclude that although they achieved nearly identical results, the Levoit Core 300S was slightly better in this test.
Noise Level Test – Comparison
These two air purifiers have four fan speeds, with the Levoit Core 300S featuring an auto mode. This mode doesn’t add a new speed but instead adjusts the speed based on the current air quality in the room.
We compared the noise level produced by each device at each speed, and interestingly—and quite surprisingly—the Core P350 is slightly quieter at maximum speed, producing only 57.2 dBA. The Levoit Core 300S, on the other hand, produces 65.2 dBA.

At the lowest speed, the situation is slightly different. The Levoit Core 300S is a bit quieter, producing 41.4 dBA, while the Core P350 produces 42.1 dBA.

Overall, the Levoit Core P350 is slightly better optimized in terms of noise levels. However, I’m sure that both devices are quiet enough for use in bedrooms.
Operating Costs – Comparison
The first thing I compare in terms of operating costs is motor power and electricity consumption. The Levoit Core 300S uses a much better-optimized motor with only 26W, while the Levoit Core P350 has a 45W motor.
What’s most interesting here is that both air purifiers have the same CADR, meaning the Levoit Core 300S has a significantly better power-to-CADR ratio.
If you were to run these two devices at maximum speed, 24 hours a day, for a period of 60 minutes, your electricity bill would increase by around $2.88 for the Levoit Core P350 and about $2.01 for the Levoit Core 300S.
Monthly Power Consumption Cost - Comparison

Regarding the cost and lifespan of replacement filters, the situation is almost identical since these two devices use the same filters.

This means that the biggest difference in operating costs comes from electricity consumption. Overall, the Levoit Core 300S is better optimized and much more affordable to maintain annually.
