First of all, I must say that this comparison has caused me quite a trouble. And by trouble, I mean real piece of work. Just from the very first look at the comparison table, you might notice the many common features these two air purifiers share.
For instance, both PARTU BS-08 and Levoit Vista 200 have a Filter Reset Indicator and the Night Light option. Basically, they are both quite small appliances, with room coverage of around 160 sq. ft.
Table of Contents
As you may have read in my previous reviews Levoit is a company that is by now well known for outstanding air purifiers. As opposed to Levoit, PARTU is a newbie on the market.
Even though both air purifiers are made of plastic, the quality is remarkable. Speaking of quality, let’s not forget about the design. Levoit Vista 200 can be found in the black or white version, while PARTU BS-08 is only made in black.
Their companies provide warranty coverage, so you can rely on each of these air purifiers.

Features Overview
As I said before, there are several features that these air purifiers have in common. What I didn’t mention is that both PARTU BS-08 and Levoit Vista 200 have three-stage filtration. The slight difference is that PARTU has an Ionizer, whereas Levoit is missing out on that feature, but is completely Ozone-free.
The nice thing would be if these appliances had a Smart sensor or even a possibility of connecting to a smart app, but I’m afraid that isn’t the case with PARTU and Levoit.
Filter Reset Indicator
Once again I must point out the Filter Reset Indicator, which both PARTU BS-08 and Levoit Vista 200 have. The main function of this Indicator is to light up at the moment when filters need a replacement. Once the filter is replaced, the Indicator must be reset.
Night Light
I have to state that this is one awesome feature. The Night Light is a feature that brings that extra visual ambiance creating a cozy and charming atmosphere. With PARTU you get to choose between seven colors. You can set it to just one color or they can alternately switch every few seconds.
On the other hand, Levoit Vista 200 brings you an extra comfy atmosphere, with a warm light that’s adjustable to two brightness levels. What I think is great is the possibility to turn ON the Night Light even when the air purifier is OFF. That way you can enjoy the romantic atmosphere of your room.
Anion Mode
The Anion Mode is unavailable at Vista 200, which is not the case with PARTU. This purifying mode is by default OFF, so if you want to use it, you’ll have to turn it ON. What happens then, you may wonder? Well, it’s a filtering mode that emits six million anions into the air so you can breathe cleaner and fresher air. So basically, it’s the Ionizer.
The PARTU BS-08 also has a CARB certificate, which makes it sellable in California. Still, even if you’re not living in this sunbathed country, you can rely on this air purifier because it’s completely ozone-controlled.
Timer
As opposed to Levoit Vista 200 that can set this option to 2, 4, and 8 hours, PARTU BS-08 does not come with the Timer.
Airflow
As you can presume from the very first look at these air purifiers, their round shape implies that both have an identical airflow.
The air enters through the openings on the bottom part, passes the filtration process, and is sent back into the room through the upper side holes.
Warranty
If you read the intro carefully you might remember the fact about the warranty, which both companies provide for their air purifiers. Levoit Vista 200 and PARTU BS-08 have a two-year warranty coverage, but my advice to you would be to register on their websites upon purchase. This particularly refers to Levoit, if you really want to be fully covered.
Filtration
Speaking of the filtration process, both PARTU and Levoit share pretty much the same 3-in-1 filter. To begin with, the pre-filter is the first filter the air goes through, keeping the large particles away from the HEPA filter which comes second in the defense line. The last third filter is the Carbon filter. All of these filters are round-shaped with pretty much the same dimensions.
An extra feature that I’d like to point out is the Anion Mode, a.k.a. the Ionizer that PARTU air purifier has as its fourth stage of filtration.
How To Replace Filter On Both These Devices
Like any other appliance, air purifiers need proper maintenance. By this, I mean a filter replacement. You can probably read this in the user manual, but I’ll mention it also. Filters at both PARTU and Levoit are not washable. Therefore, according to producers, you get about 3-6 months of use with PARTU BS-08 and 5-6 months with Vista 200.
From my experience, Levoit’s filters last even shorter due to their small size, which makes them more exposed to dirt.
I would give these air purifiers approximately four months before the filter replacement. It is easy to do the replacement by yourself, and the good thing is neither one is expensive.
Noise
If you’re an air purifier lover like me, I’m sure that some things are of vital significance to you. Did I say vital? Well, one thing’s for sure, I don’t like my appliances creating noise that makes me think ”it’s either you or me, buddy”. I need to be able to spend time in the same room with the air purifier while it’s working.
With that said, I have to state that both PARTU BS-08 and Levoit Vista 200 have three initial fan speeds. Levoit also has one extra speed level, and it’s called the Sleep Mode. It’s the lowest speed level that makes it pretty quiet and pleasant to be around. Still, PARTU tends to create even less noise which makes it so pleasing to your ears.
Product | Noise Range (dBA) |
---|---|
PARTU BS-08 | 40.7 – 58 dBA |
Levoit Vista 200 | 43.5 – 56.9 dBA |
If you set both devices on top speed level, they tend to be noisier but not in an annoying kind of way.
Performance
Since PARTU and Levoit are designed to cover approximately the same room size (see the comparison table), I had no trouble putting them to the test. I decided to test each one in a 194 sq. ft. room size, on maximum speed level, for an hour, to see how they show off.
194 sq. ft. Room Tests
By the end of the test, I was quite surprised, I must say. Not what I expected. The PARTU BS-08 showed better results by improving the air quality by 88%. Let’s be honest, an air purifier has got to work better than that. But what surprised me the most is that Levoit Vista 200 was able to improve the air quality by only 68%, which is not enough. Whatever it is with these air purifiers, it simply needs to be improved.
194 sq. ft. Room
* Data measuring time is 60 minutes.
Let’s put it this way, if I’m going to invest my money into an air purifier that does only half of the job, then I might as well buy myself an Aloe Vera or any other plant. Am I right?
Operating Costs
I have mentioned before how both PARTU and Levoit have about the same size and shape of filters within. Here comes the best part, the price of the filters is also the same for both appliances, affordable.
Now, here’s the catch. On one side there is a PARTU BS-08 air purifier with a 35W motor, and a Levoit Vista 200 with a 15W motor, on the other side. If you leave both air purifiers working at maximum speed for a whole month, without a pause, you’ll end up paying a 2.8$ bill for PARTU and a 0.5$ Vista bill.
Product | Wattage Range (W) |
---|---|
PARTU BS-08 | 7.2 – 32W |
Levoit Vista 200 | 0.2 – 2.7W |
Things are getting clearer with each step, aren’t they?
Which One Does It Better?
By reading carefully, I believe you have formed the same conclusion as I did. These air purifiers have many things in common. To begin with, the size and shape of filters. Also, they both showed good results in some performance tests.
Speaking of price, for example, you can buy PARTU BS-08 at a much affordable price, but Levoit Vista 200 is cheaper to maintain.
Levoit has a Sleep mode which makes it quieter than PARTU, but the other has the Anion Mode.
Neither one will make you shout in the attempt to out loud the appliance, that’s for sure.
If you’re still dwelling on which one seems like a better choice, I must say that I think PARTU is the one. If nothing else, being more affordable and with better performances plays a big role for me.
I hope you agree with my choice, but feel free to share your opinion if you think the opposite.
