The question arises if the Vista 200 is better than the popular LV-H132 or if there is some money to be saved by deciding on the older air purifier.

Features Overview
Before we go into detail about their differences and features, we need to say that these two air purifiers also have the same features. Both of them have three speeds and three-stage filtration. For night work, both of them offer night light. Levoit is careful with its products, and both of these air purifiers are ozone free.
Control Panel
Both devices use a touch panel. Vista 200 uses an intuitive panel made of high-quality material. Pressing buttons on Vista 200 are more pleasant than pressing them on LV-H132. Vista 200 buttons have a sympathetic light on buttons. However, you will hear a sound when pressing the buttons on LV-H132. Unfortunately, Vista 200 does not produce any sound on the button press, which may be extremely annoying.
Timer
Vista 200 has a timer, while LV-H132 does not have this feature. This feature is a distinct disadvantage for LV-H132. The timer is handy if you want an air purifier to auto shut down. You simply set the timer for work, and air purifier will work for the desired hour. Usually, timers have 2, 4, and 8 hours settings.
Sleep Mode
Vista 200 features sleep mode, while LV-H132 is silent enough to have a good night’s sleep at the lowest speed. But LV-H132 emits blue light, which is proven to have an adverse impact on sleep and circadian rhythm. Vista 200 has a pleasant yellow light, which is a better choice for the bedroom.

Filtration Technology
Both air purifiers use a three-stage filtration system. Both have pre-filter, HEPA filter, and activated carbon filter. We can say that there is no difference in filtration. However, the size of filters and airflow can make a huge difference in filtration efficiency.
How to Replace Filters on these Two?
Since the design of both air purifiers is identical, the filter replacement process is also the same. Open the bottom cover and take the old filter out. Clean the filter chambers with a vacuum cleaner or dry cloth and put the new filter in. Close the filter chambers, and that’s it.
Noise
Levoit Vista 200 uses a weaker motor, but the noise level at all speeds is almost the same as in LV-H132. However, at the first speed, Vista 200 has worse results. The third speed, or so-called highest speed, is a problem with many air purifiers. Many of them produce weird loud noises that many people don’t like.
Vista 200, as already mentioned, has a sleep mode, which makes a huge difference in noise production. Below you can see the table and compare the noise levels of both air purifiers.
Product | Noise Range (dBA) |
---|---|
Levoit LV-H132 | 43.1 – 57.7 dBA |
Levoit Vista 200 | 43.5 – 56.9 dBA |
Performance
Our tests help us determine which air purifier is best in real-life situations. We have tested both of the air purifiers in 120 sq. ft. room as well as in a larger 194 sq. ft. room. To our surprise, we must say that LV-H132 did a better job than Vista 200, no matter that the air purifier is made for smaller rooms.
Levoit LV-H132 improved air quality by 88% in a 120 square feet room, while Vista 200 improved air quality by 74%. Air quality improvement is significant, and we can clearly say that LV-H132 is the winner in the performance test.
In a bigger room (194 sq. ft.), results are similar. In the table below, you can see all the results in more detail.
194 sq. ft. Room
120 sq. ft. Room
* Data measuring time is 60 minutes.
Operation Cost
Both air purifiers are saving money on the electricity bill by using weak motors. Vista 200 uses a motor that pulls a maximum of 15W, while LV-H132 pulls 28W. Vista 200 will spend 0.5$ on electricity bills for a whole month while LV-H132 will spend 1.9$.
Which one is the winner?
It is not an easy job to say which one is the winner. Many customers have that problem when reading air purifier reviews. On one side, we have Vista 200, which is a modern new device with extra features. Vista 200 also uses less power.
On the other side, we have LV-H132 with a better performance, which we proved in our test.
If you need a modern device with extra features, then you choose Vista 200. But if you need an air purifier that will clear the air as fast as possible, then LV-H132 is the winner.
