At first, comparing the Levoit Core 400S and Core 200S air purifiers might seem unfair, especially since the Core 400S is a much larger and more powerful one.
However, as I have received many questions about these two devices, such as: how they perform and which one is better to buy, I decided to compare them and help potential buyers decide.
The Levoit Core 200S is a small air purifier that covers rooms up to 183 sq. ft., while the Levoit Core 400S covers much larger rooms up to 403 sq. ft. Both devices will clean the air 4.8 times in one hour in rooms of the recommended sizes.
Regarding filtration technology, there aren’t many differences except the size of the filters. Not only is the Levoit Core 400S filter larger, but it also lasts much longer. Both devices use three-stage filtration technology, of which I would like to highlight their high-quality True HEPA filters.
When it comes to advanced features, the Core 400S also has much more to offer. However, instead of explaining each specification individually, I have created a table with a detailed comparison of these two devices’ specifications.

Which One Does It Better?
From the very beginning of this comparison, it was clear that the Levoit Core 400S is far superior, more powerful, and definitely a better choice for purchase than the Core 200S.
It is characterized by better performance, larger coverage, longer-lasting and larger filters, many advanced options, a much better-optimized motor, and a much better price-to-quality ratio.
However, I wouldn’t stay away from the Core 200S, and would recommend it for smaller rooms, such as small bedrooms, especially since it is one of the quietest air purifiers I have tested and offers a night light feature.
If you have any questions about the Levoit Core 400S and Core 200S, please feel free to ask in the comments section below.
Hello, if you have pets, would you recommend 200s or 400s?
Thank you
The Core 400S. Why? Because It has a much better filter and larger airflow, which is necessary to deal with pet hair, pet dander, and bad smells.
However, why wouldn’t you check out the Levoit Vital 200S? It’s my new favorite air purifier and also an extraordinary option for pets.
